HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR dpf after a clean.
Fuel & Fluids (i.e oil)
Use ultra-low sulfur diesel , premium diesel fuel e.g. BP
Use low-ash engine oil that is manufacturer-approved to prevent ash buildup and support DPF longevity.
MAKE SURE ENGINE OIL is not higher than the the maximum mark on the dip stick. We always recommend 3 / 4 full as oil in diesel vehicles is very different to petrol vehicles. Produces more oil when regenerating. If over filled this can trigger DPF dashboard light.
Use high-quality fuel additives to improve combustion and reduce soot.

Driving Habits
Avoid frequent short trips—DPF needs time to reach regeneration temperature.
Drive at highway speeds (60+ km/h) for 20–30 minutes weekly to promote passive regeneration.
Avoid excessive idling, especially when parked or in traffic.
Regeneration Support
Allow active regeneration cycles to complete fully—don’t turn off the engine mid-cycle.
Learn to recognise regeneration signs (higher idle RPM, fan noise, slight fuel smell).
Monitoring & Inspection
Regularly check for DPF warning lights or engine fault codes.
Schedule inspections for turbo, EGR, and injectors to prevent soot overload.
Maintenance Tips
Clean or replace air filters as per service intervals.
Keep the EGR and intake system clean—a dirty EGR increases soot.
Follow the manufacturer’s recommended DPF cleaning interval, even after a professional clean.
A yearly DPF flush is a smart way to prolong DPF life and save fuel.
Prevent Future Problems
Never use DPF delete or illegal tuning software—it’s both harmful and unlawful.
Use only trusted additives—we recommend and use Bluechem products for top results.
